Ironing Tips
Cotton & Linen:
Use a higher temperature to eliminate creases.
Knitwear
Iron inside out with a damp cloth, and dry flat on a towel.
Shirts
Start with collars and cuffs, then sleeves, and finish with the front and back.
Tackling Stubborn Stains
Fresh Stains
Clean immediately with a cloth and warm water to ensure the stain doesn’t set. Follow up with a proper wash.
White Clothes
Soak your whites in a solution of sodium percarbonate and hot water. Wash and dry them separately away from colours.
Old Stains
If a stain has dried up, use a mix of household soap, bicarbonate of soda and water to soak the area and then give it a full wash.
Store-Bought Stain Removers
Test on an unnoticeable part of the garment first to check for any discolouration or change in texture.
